Celebrate the Blakehay 10th Anniversary year
That runs from 1st April 2014 - 31st March 2015. It has been 10 years since the Weston-super-Mare Town Council, saved the theatre from an uncertain future and has been managed, renovated and improved in the last 10 years. I am sure that you will agree with me that the theatre is a great asset to Weston and compliments the already vibrant theatre following that we have in the town. Details

#LeisureDome will ‘go ahead’
Planning approval has been granted for the £50 million Leisuredome to be built in Weston-Super-Mare and will boast a 210-metre ski slope - the longest in the UK. The Leisuredome will also house an indoor climbing centre with a 40 metre climbing wall, the tallest in the world, alongside an indoor surfing centre and sky-diving facility.
 
The Weston Sand Sculpture Festival is back for 2014
From Friday 18th April until the 5th Octover there will be a huge sand sculpture festival on the beach at Weston Super Mare. Spectacular sand sculptures will be made by artists from around the world. This years theme will be “Once Upon a Time...”, come and see the spectacular sand sculptures and pose with some of your favourite story characters! Details
